He holds graduate degrees in both engineering and architecture, and has consulted extensively with cooperative and condominium Boards to advise on capital repair projects, apartment alterations, and long-term capital repair planning. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York, a registered Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI), and a registered Qualified Parking Structure Inspector (QPSI) with the Department of Buildings. He is also a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) and the Rainscreen Association of North America (RAiNA). He is periodically interviewed by  Habitat Magazine.
